Ben Bussewitz is an up-and-coming poet who has been published in the Mediterranean Review, the Allegheny Review, and Pegasus. He spent three years at Allegheny College working toward B.A.s in Philosophy and English. There, he is a Distinguished Alden Scholar who has been awarded the Best Philosophy Major, The Paul G. Zolbrod Junior Major Award, and the Cornerstone Award for being a senior who will leave behind a good legacy at Allegheny. Also, for two years he was the English Student Department Representative, voted in on an open ballot. Now, he is beginning to put together a non-governmental organization called The World as One Organization which he chairs, along with one other, and together and with many people, they are working toward the Triple E Initiative.
In sequences of havoc, stillness, alacrity, and quiltpens, the music within us is in our beautiful hearts. The music around us shines through the air. And the music of the sunshine shines the light of carefree caringness. The beauty of one in the beauty of all. The way we see people shines light on us all. The way we see people is in the way of the poem that you read in the quiet when no one is home, the one you love especially so. The way we see people is the way we see our friends, good and honest and kind and forever.
